The genres of quartet and the quartet with electronics have experienced a significant expansion in musical creation and make up a repertoire studied by ensembles with the viola players from the Diotima and Pražák quartets. In this repertoire, Tensio by Philippe Manoury and Spirali by Marco Stroppa also necessitate the performance of a computer-music designer and a sound engineer.
