The young musicians from the International Ensemble Modern Akademie and the CNSMD de Paris and the soprano Raquel Camarinha are gathered under the baton of the Argentinian conductor and composer Emilio Pomàrico for an ambitious program. Four composers from the ManiFeste Academy have taken on the challenge of orchestrating studies (Ligeti, Berio), a rare exercise when one must bring together the worlds of instrumental and electronic sounds. Beside Jarrell’s Nachlese based on the poems of Luis de Gongora and Chin’s Akrostichon-Wortspiel, a versatile scene inspired by Lewis Carroll, ManiFeste-2015 concludes its journey with a tribute to Emmanuel Nunes with a selection of his world-works. From Ruf to his opera Das Märchen, the Portuguese composer was inspired throughout his life by the concept of a series and the ambition of a large-scale organic form.
