Philippe Hurel 2
The composer of Trait d’union virtuose, Philippe Hurel is also the founder of the ensemble Court-circuit whose name indicates a type of musical engagement. Court-circuit defends a new generation of composers such as the Italian Francesca Verunelli or the Spainsh Alberto Posadas, known for his harmonic creativity and interest in the Black Paintings, especially those by Goya. The Catalan Carlos de Castellarnau looks towards Tapiès, Soulages, and here, Manolo Millres, with the intent of “paradoxically finding the primitive force of sound through today’s most innovative technology.” In this case, it is the software program for orchestration, Orchids, was at the service of this creation.
